WireGuard Core Architecture
Ubisoft Accelerator has built a new routing engine based on the WireGuard protocol. WireGuard achieves full accelerator functionality with only around 4,000 lines of code, while traditional IPsec exceeds 600,000 lines of code. More streamlined code means a smaller attack surface, reduced latency, and higher throughput. In our internal tests, the handshake speed of the WireGuard protocol is three times faster than IKEv2 and eight times faster than IPsec.
Noise Protocol Framework Encryption
Ubisoft Accelerator’s WireGuard implementation utilizes the Noise protocol framework for key exchange, employing Curve25519 for ECDH key negotiation, ChaCha20-Poly1305 for symmetric encryption, and BLAKE2s for hashing. This combination of cryptographic primitives has been widely validated in both academic and industrial settings, providing forward-looking security against quantum computing attacks.
Intelligent Protocol Switching
In certain network environments, WireGuard’s UDP traffic may be restricted. Ubisoft Accelerator includes intelligent protocol-switching functionality that automatically detects network conditions and seamlessly switches between WireGuard, IKEv2, and our proprietary obfuscation protocol, ensuring stable connections in any environment. The entire switching process completes within 500 milliseconds, practically undetectable by users.
Multi-Hop and split routing
Ubisoft Accelerator supports multi-hop connections, allowing data to be relayed through two or more acceleration servers for users who require extreme anonymity. Additionally, the split routing feature lets you choose which applications use the accelerator and which connect directly to the local network, achieving the best balance between performance and security.
AES-256-GCM Encryption Standard
Ubisoft Accelerator employs AES-256-GCM encryption mode for all transmitted data. AES-256 is currently the encryption standard approved by the NSA for protecting 'top secret' information. Even with today’s most powerful supercomputers, it would take billions of years to crack. Each connection generates a unique session key, ensuring forward secrecy.
DNS Leak Protection
Ubisoft Accelerator operates its private DNS server cluster, with all DNS queries resolved through encrypted connections, eliminating the risk of DNS leaks. We also have built-in protection against WebRTC leaks and IPv6 leaks, ensuring that your real IP address is never exposed under any circumstances. You can verify your protection status at any time using the built-in leak testing tool.
Kill Switch
Ubisoft Accelerator’s Kill Switch feature can immediately cut off all internet traffic if the acceleration connection unexpectedly drops, preventing any data from leaking in an unencrypted state. This function supports both system-level and application-level modes: system-level mode protects all traffic, while application-level mode only protects specific applications, giving users maximum flexibility.
RAM-only Pure Memory Servers
Ubisoft Accelerator’s 3000+ servers operate solely in pure RAM mode. This means there are no hard drives on the servers; all data is processed only in memory. Upon every server reboot, all data is completely wiped. Even in the event of physical confiscation, no user data can be extracted. This represents the highest level of data protection in the industry.
4K Ultra HD Streaming Support
Ubisoft Accelerator’s high-speed nodes are specifically optimized to reliably support 4K Ultra HD (2160p) video streaming needs. Whether it's HD movies, live sports events, or music videos, Ubisoft Accelerator delivers a stable, smooth, and buffer-free viewing experience. On gigabit broadband, connection speeds can consistently exceed 500Mbps.
Gaming Acceleration and Low Latency
Ubisoft Accelerator is specially optimized for online gaming. Our intelligent routing engine automatically selects the route with the lowest latency to game servers. In our tests, latency to Asia-Pacific game servers was as low as 10ms, and to North American servers was as low as 60ms. The DDoS protection feature prevents you from suffering malicious attacks during gaming.
P2P and Torrent Download Optimization
Ubisoft Accelerator has enabled P2P optimization features on nodes in over 30 countries. We do not restrict the bandwidth or speed of P2P protocols like BitTorrent, while protecting your download activities from ISP monitoring and throttling through encrypted connections.
